Solar Team Twente

Since 2008 is WE Engineering a partner of the Solar Team Twente.

For the 21Connect, the solar car for the World Solar Challenge 2011, WE Engineering has designed a new rear wheel design. This design is completely optimized with FEM calculations, to be as light as possible, yet strong enough to be able to drive at full speed over a Cadle grid. Furthermore, this design features a Formula 1-wheel change system, so in case of problems it’s possible to very quickly change a wheel.
